Holly Grove African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church will hold their summer Revival services  at 7:00 PM on Monday through Wednesday, August 26-28, 2013.   The host pastor is my good friend, the Reverend Larry Ervin.

The revivalists are the Rev. Vaughn Mosley of Rock Temple AME Church in Conyers on Monday, the Rev. Raphael Allen of Turner Chapel AME Church in Atlanta on Tuesday, and the Rev. Terrence Evans of St. Paul AME Church in Dallas on Wednesday. 

 

Holly Grove is located in Peachtree City at  400 Holly Grove Church Road, just off the south end of Robinson Road.

Men United in Christ - FCCF - Sunday, October 30th

The Fellowship of Christian Churches and Friends (FCCF) will hold their regular Fifth Sunday Celebration at 2:30 PM on Sunday, October 30, 2011 at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Peachtree City.

The theme for this event is "Men United in Christ."


The pastor at Bethlehem is the Rev. Dwight Elder. The guest preacher is the Rev. Larry Ervin of Holly Grove African Methodist Episcopal Church, also in Peachtree City.

The FCCF exists to promote unity among all churches in Atlanta's southern crescent. All are welcome to attend! Don't you want to be part of this? We are Building Biblical Bridges of Brotherhood.
A combined Male Chorus will be featured during the program.

Men's Revival at Mount Olive Baptist Church

Mount Olive Baptist Church will hold a Men's Revival at 7:00 PM 0n Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, April 21-23, 2010. The Senior Pastor at Mount Olive is Rev. Melvin Ware. Wednesday's Guest Preacher will be Rev. Leroy Hill from Morningstar Baptist Church in Newnan. Thursday's preacher will be Pastor John Battle from New Shield of Faith Christian Ministries in Atlanta. Reverend Battle was a basketball star at Rutgers University and in the NBA with the Atlanta Hawks. Friday's message will be delivered by Pastor Willie Johnson of Newnan, GA. Men's Day will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Sunday, April 25, 2010 with a sermon by Rev. Peter Robinson, Associate Pastor at Mt. Olive.

FCCF to hold "5th Sunday" Celebration

The Fellowship of Christian Churches and Friends (FCCF) will hold its regular "Fifth Sunday" celebration on Sunday, January 31, 2010 at 2:30 PM at Flat Rock African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church. The Senior Pastor at Flat Rock is Reverend Ed Johnson. The theme for the celebration is "Christians Fellowshipping in On Accord for Kingdom Building." The Guest Preacher will be Reverend Dale Foster, Pastor of Free Spirit Ministries (http://fsmwc.org/) in Fairburn, GA. Reverend Mike Stachura of Grace Evangelical Church is also on the program. (I personally have a small part in the program.)

The FCCF is "Building Biblical Bridges of Brotherhood" across racial and denominational lines. We are eager to have you join us in these efforts! We believe that the potential impact of Biblical unity on Atlanta's Southern Crescent is great. Come and see!

What, me sing in public?

The Fellowship of Christian Churches and Friends (FCCF) will hold its regular "Fifth Sunday" service on November 29, 2009 at 2:30 PM at True Love Christian Ministries in Fayette County. Yours truly will be singing a solo (really!) during the service, which is worth the price of admission (which, of course, is free...)

FCCF Fifth Sunday Celebration

How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! PSALM 133:1 (NIV)

The Fellowship of Christian Churches and Friends (FCCF) will hold their regular Fifth Sunday Celebration this Sunday, March 29, 2009 at 2:30 PM at Flint Ridge Baptist Church (Rev. Jerome Drakeford, Pastor). The FCCF schedules these celebrations as a way to build unity in the local body of Christ. Current participating churches include Bethlehem Baptist Church, Grace Evangelical Church, Flat Rock African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church, Flint Ridge Baptist Church, Mount Olive Baptist Church, and True Love Ministries. All members of the Christian community in the South Metro area are invited to attend!

The Guest Preacher for this event is Reverend Gerry Anderson, Senior Pastor of New Macedonia Baptist Church in Riverdale.

Please join us as we continue to Build Biblical Bridges of Brotherhood! I believe that this is one of the best opportunities for unity among churches in this area. I can't begin to tell you how blessed I have been personally by getting to know the pastors and congregations of the churches participating in the FCCF. One of the most amazing discoveries is how God has already prepared their hearts for unity, also. For those of you who are undecided about this, I urge you to consider moving out of whatever congregational, denominational, and/or racial comfort zone you may be in and get involved!

Future FCCF Celebrations in 2009 wil be held May 31st, August 30th, and November29th. Details will follow.

Out of the Boat?

Perhaps you have read or at least heard of John Ortberg’s book, If You Want to Walk on Water, You’ve Got to Get Out of the Boat. It’s a good one, and I highly recommend it.

The story of Peter leaving the safety of the boat to walk on the water toward Jesus was the inspiration for the name of the men’s a Capella group from Peachtree City Untied Methodist Church. Out of the Boat performed Sunday at Grace Evangelical Church at the Fayette County Christian Fellowship’s Fifth Sunday Celebration. Their music was a big hit and they shared their testimony about how forming the group and then performing was an out of the boat experience for them.

Sunday was an out of the boat experience for me, also, as it was definitely the largest gathering at which I have ever spoken. It was definitely several steps beyond the normal men's retreats or men’s breakfasts where I have spoken in the past.

I don’t know what out of the boat experience God has in mind for you, but when you are faced with it, I hope that you will have enough courage to take the step of faith required. In His divine wisdom He chooses to work in and through us for the advancement of His Kingdom.

Stepping Up to Be a Man in the Eyes of the Lord.

The Fayette County Christian Fellowship's (FCCF) Fifth Sunday Celebration is scheduled for 2:30 PM, Sunday, September 30, 2007 at Grace Evangelical Church. Grace Evangelical Church is located off GA Highway 54 at 164 Flat Creek Trail. Directions and a map are availble at http://www.gracechurchfayette.org/directions.htm.

What is the FCCF? The FCCF is a group of churches that have joined together to foster principals of unity and faith within Fayette County. "The mission of the FCCF is to serve as a catalyst in spearheading spiritual revival in the lives of The Fayette County community of faith. This association will reach beyond denominational, cultural, economic, and racial divides to embrace the concept of love as demonstrated and practiced by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ."

The theme will be "Stepping Up to Be a Man in the Eyes of The LORD." The service will be led by men, and yours truly will be the speaker. I would personally like your support, but even more importantly, I hope you'll attend because your want to help build unity in the local body of Christ! As many of you know Promise #6 states: A promise keeper is committed to crossing racial and denominational lines to demonstrate the power of biblical unity. Locally, we are calling this Building Biblical Bridges of Brotherhood (see prior blog on BBBB).

Ladies are encouraged to attend to support the men. (I'll have a word for the ladies, too.)

What is the Fayette County Christian Fellowship?

The Fayette County Christian Fellowship (FCCF) is a group of churches that have joined together to foster principals of unity and faith within this county.

The mission of the FCCF is to serve as a catalyst in spearheading spiritual revival in the lives of The Fayette County community of faith. This association will reach beyond denominational, cultural, economic, and racial divides to embrace the concept of love as demonstrated and practiced by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

The purpose of the Fayette County Christian Fellowship it to promote Christian Unity through fellowship activities involving all citizens of the Fayette County community of Christian faith. A Fifth Sunday Celebration is normally held in each month that has a fifth month. (Exceptions are made for holidays, etc.)
